Amy Cohen is Business Generation Manager at the Port of San Francisco. For 15+ years Amy worked in multiple roles at the SF Office of Economic and Workforce Development, where most recently she was the Director of Public Space Regeneration. Amy is an experienced urban strategist, program developer and grantmaker. She designs ambitious cross-sector initiatives that help communities and government work together on achievable projects that bring new life to places that need it - from underutilized public spaces, empty buildings and vacant storefronts to neighborhoods and, more recently, Downtown San Francisco. Throughout her career she has built partnerships with a broad array of stakeholders, including residents of low-income neighborhoods, to co-create change, strengthen community and help rebuild trust in government.  Amy has a Masters in Community Development from UC Davis.
