I am Director of Arts & Culture fir the 5th Ward Cultural Arts District. Our district is an African American Cultural Arts District in Houston, Tx. I am also Founder and Artistic Director of Urban Souls Dance Company, a professional modern dance company dedicated to Black stories and experiences. I founded the Charles Law Community Archive, a Black LGBTQ archive in partnership with the African American Library in Houston. I teach dance at our local performing arts high school and I’m involved politically. Fighting for equity, inclusion, and arts funding.
