MacKenzie is a talented and thoughtful creative planner, community advocate, and urban designer. With a decade of experience, she has been involved in a diverse range of projects spanning the East Coast, varying in scale from two-block developments to expansive 1,000-acre master plans. MacKenzie's professional experience encompasses a wide array of project types, including transit-oriented development, real estate development, mixed-use developments, community planning, traditional neighborhoods, tactical urbanism, campus planning, corridor plans, and small area plans. Through her experience working at a variety of scales, her expertise lies in exploring the intricate intersection of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design and how engaging, dynamic, and vibrant places successfully incorporate a mix of uses, meaningful open space, local art, history, and culture to achieve unique placemaking objectives. Her rich background in design and graphics enables her to create compelling visualizations that enable communities and organizations to envision the future potential of a place. Currently, MacKenzie is a Project Manager in the Urban Design Studio of Design Collective, a multidisciplinary design firm located in Baltimore, MD. In this role, she collaborates closely with architects, landscape architects, and interior designers to develop dynamic and successful design concepts. Her proficiency extends beyond design implementation, as she excels in conducting impactful community engagement initiatives in-person and virtually. Her diverse clientele comprises private and public sectors. As a land planner at Toll Brothers for six years, her prior experience contributes to her grounded and realistic approach to planning projects. MacKenzie is a licensed Landscape Architect with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from The Pennsylvania State University.
